ResumoPalavras-chave:

AbstractKeywords:
The procedures at each stage of mechanized forest harvesting have been improved over
the years in response to the growing demands of the current market and technological advances.
This study aimed to analyze two systems in the eucalyptus feller-buncher operation, comparing
variables related to operational cycle times and yield/productivity, considering the number of tree
rows (two and three rows) where the machine performs the operation by felling strip. The
ergonomic operating conditions in both models were also evaluated, correlating them with the
maintenance of the operational yield curve in both systems and the application of ESG policies in
the forest harvesting stage. Production data were obtained through field measurements of the
operational cycle for five different machines and five different operators, in addition to counting
the number of trees accumulated on the implement. Non-parametric data for ergonomic
evaluation were obtained via anonymous forms distributed among feller-buncher operators. It
was found that the two-row felling system generated higher productivity and shorter operating
time compared to the three-row system in all five samples, each under homogeneous working
conditions and with the same operator/machine. For samples 1 and 3, no significant difference
was detected in terms of production between the two felling systems analyzed. The two-row
felling system presented better ergonomic working conditions, especially in adverse situations
such as steeper slopes.
